What causes lower back pain: there are many factors; but some common causes are…traumatic spinal misalignment caused by auto accidents, slip-and-falls, degenerative joint and disc disease, stress, overexertion, poor posture and congenital disorders (scoliosis).  Some may experience lower back pain due to diseased abdominal organs.

What is Whiplash: whiplash is a non-medical term used to describe stretch (extension) injury to the muscle, nerves and other soft tissue of the neck and back.  Whiplash injuries can occur in auto accidents, slip-and-falls, or when the head or neck is struck by an object.

Signs and symptoms of whiplash disorder: symptoms are neck and back stiffness with pain, you may also experience radiating pain from the neck into the shoulders, tingling and numbness in one or both hands.  Many people experience pounding headaches behind the eye, upper and lower back stiffness with pain in one or both shoulders…you may also experience shooting pain in your back down through your leg and into your foot, usually on the same side.
